SAWA Mock-up Featuring a Facade

Last week, the facade of the mock-up at the SAWA construction site was finished with wooden slats. The team at Mei architects and planners visited the mock-up. The facade cladding in combination with the window frames gives a good impression of what SAWA will look like in the future. The one-to-one scale model makes the size and scale of the massive CLT columns and beams truly tangible and allows you to experience how the wood will look and feel in the interior.
The SAWA mock-up is a test setup in which various connections and technical junctions, to be implemented in the final building, are tested for assembly speed and feasibility, among other aspects. Read more about the mock-up here.
