Timber construction has the future
June 21, 2022'The construction industry tends to be conservative, risk-averse and profit-maximizing, which is why building in (cheap) concrete is chosen time and again,' reads the Notariaat Magazine article published this week. According to Mark Compeer and Robert Winkel, it is time to stop building in concrete and switch to timber construction, because timber is CO2 binds rather than emissions:
We prefer to put up a future-proof building that we can be proud of.
