NICE leads housing associations toward affordable, circular housing

NICE Developers develops affordable housing and contributes to a better climate. With this offer, NICE is ready to relieve housing associations and help them with the major challenges they face. This is done with clear advice based on extensive (timber construction) experience and expertise, but also by speaking plain language and working closely together with an open budget. This is the only way we will get further!

Housing associations face a huge task: they are expected to make a major contribution to housing production. In addition, the sustainability and future-proofing of their portfolio is of increasing importance. Within this task, how can corporations create capacity for innovations such as bio-based building and wood construction? Don't stay too long with these questions. NICE Developers offers answers and a helping hand, so that corporations can combine the housing task with a positive climate contribution.

Through experience and chain integration, NICE Developers develops affordable wooden and circular homes faster

Affordable housing, better climate

As a housing corporation, you want to create more circular, Paris Proof, low-maintenance, biodiverse and affordable housing for your residents. How do you get that expertise and how do you keep the costs under control? NICE Developers takes care of this. This is done in terms of know how: we have the knowledge, expertise and capacity to quickly get this process on the right track. After all, we have already researched, applied and then developed our own NICE Concept. An innovative approach in the timber construction chain makes a viable business case possible. Meanwhile, collaborations with various housing corporations are at an advanced stage. Projects range from the preservation of existing stock with topping and thickening in wood to complete new construction in wood. We can do this, because we are already doing this!

We - as NICE guys and girls - feel akin to housing corporations: we serve society and settle for less profit in favor of the projects. For this reason, close contact and participation with (neighborhood) residents is an important pillar within our projects. Another characteristic for our way of working is the system change we implemented, integrating an architect, a developer, construction companies and wood suppliers. This chain integration gives us an advantage in cost, time and quality. As a result, we develop faster and can arrive at a viable business case for timber and circular social housing. At the area level, we can also help with urban design with a mix of demolition-new construction. We serve as the "outboard motor" of your organization. Of course at predetermined costs and with close involvement of you, the housing corporation. This allows you to test the development process and learn your own lessons in timber development.
