We look back on an interesting second meeting of Het Nieuwe Normaal Zuid-Holland in Nice Place, in which we shared insights from project evaluations and discussed, among other things, pioneering leadership; monitoring and making explicit circular ambitions as well as what incentives are needed to embrace and implement Het Nieuwe Normaal en masse.

Accelerating Together: "The New Normal"
The national government has a substantial ambition: the Netherlands Circular in 2050. To achieve this ambition for the construction sector, acceleration is needed. Acceleration on the substantive level: 'What do we mean by circular construction and how far should we go?' And acceleration on the economic front: 'Will this market actually emerge and are there enough references?'
BZK and Cirkelstad have initiated the program 'Accelerating together'. In this, Rijksvastgoedbedrijf, Rijkswaterstaat, Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Dura Vermeer, Van Wijnen, Volker Wessels, BAM and Synchroon are working toward signing the covenant: 'Circular construction: The new normal' in 2023.
