Video Recap: SAWA Timber Construction Commences

The construction of SAWA is in full swing, and we look back at an enthusiastic start to timber construction on Monday, March 4.

On this sunny morning, Alderman Chantal Zeegers, responsible for Climate, Construction, and Housing, officially launched SAWA's timber construction project by hoisting the first wooden beam onto the columns. We celebrated this special moment together with the teams from NICE, ERA, Mei architects and planners, wood partner Derix, and real estate investor Focus on Impact. We are proud of this milestone and look forward to the further development of SAWA as a sustainable icon in Rotterdam and as inspiration for future urban projects. Together we are building a greener, more sustainable world!
