Vers Beton: 'SAWA fit for future resident generations'

In a recent opinion piece by Vers Beton, Andrea Prins writes a plea for more flexibility in housing construction. With flexible floor plans, following the principles of Open Building, SAWA proves itself as an example.

Robert Platje explains:
"Through an innovative floor construction in which the pipes are not fixed and inaccessible in the concrete, but in a gravel layer on top of the load-bearing floor, it becomes possible for residents to freely place the rooms and even the wet areas and the kitchen. (...) Through free lay-out and 'detachability' of walls and installations, these homes meet current housing demands as well as those of future resident generations."
