Webinar SAWA in OMI

On April 20, 2021 Nice Developers with May hosted a live webinar on SAWA at OMI with Pieter Kuster. In the webinar, Robert Winkel presents SAWA, the first all-wood residential building in Rotterdam. Winkel talks about the underlying ideas; from construction to the intended community, the biodiversity in SAWA, including the rich assortment of plants and nesting boxes for different birds. The livestream ended with a Q&A in which listeners asked questions about this project and its significance for today's housing challenge.

The webinar is part of programming for the "Rotterdam and May" exhibition. The exhibition highlights the biggest Rotterdam projects realized by Mei architects and planners, SAWA's architect, over the years, including the award-winning transformation of Fenix I, the Jobsveem warehouse, the Lijnbaan renovation and the new McDonald's pavilion.

You can visit the exhibition at OMI through May 16, 2021. OMI is open to visitors every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 1 p.m.-6 p.m. More information can be found on OMI's website....
