Last week, the facade of the mock-up at SAWA's construction site was finished with wooden slats. The team from Mei architects and planners visited the mock-up. The cladding in combination with the window frames gives a good idea of what SAWA will look like later.

SAWA wins Architecture Masterprize
At the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, the initiators of SAWA - Robert Winkel and Mark Compeer of Mei architects and planners and Nice Developers - proudly received the 8th architectural award for SAWA, for the best Conceptual Architecture in the prestigious Architecture MasterPrize award competition in America.
Construction SAWA begins
Construction of SAWA - the very first 50-meter-high circular wooden residential building in the Netherlands - has begun. At a festive gathering on November 18, the symbolic starting signal was given for the construction of this iconic residential building on Rotterdam's Lloydpier.
